It was a good weekend for NDSU, as they accomplished something no other school has in winning their fourth straight FCS championship, but it's the rings that were given out after the game that has everyone talking.

In the wake of the Bison's 29-27 historic defeat of Illinois State, two of the team's players took the celebration up a notch. Jesse Hinz and Zac Johnson, offensive linemen for NDSU, both dropped to one knee after the game and proposed to their girlfriends.

Johnson grabbed the ring his mom had been holding and popped the question to Tricia Goerts, who tearfully said yes.

Hinz proposed to girlfriend Gretchen Folkerts, who playfully punched him in the arm before joyfully throwing her arms around him and saying yes.

So while it was undoubtedly a good day for NDSU after the Bison sent the Redbirds packing, it's pretty hard to top the joy these newly-engaged couple must be feeling.
