The Fighting Hawks still weren’t done in the first half. After an interception from Ray Haas, UND used a short field to score two plays later when John Santiago ran in from 19 yards out to make it a 24-0 game. They would take that lead into halftime.

After another Taubenheim field goal, the Fighting Hawks got one more score from James Johannesson on a 19-yard run to finish off the scoring.
