The University of North Dakota may not bring home this season's NCAA men's hockey championship, but their goalie did bring some hardware this weekend.

UND goalie Zane McIntyre was named the Mike Richter Award winner Friday morning, April 10th, at the TD Garden, during the NCAA men's hockey awards banquet, according to UNDSports.com.

McIntyre appeared in all 42 of UND's games this season, tying the school record for single-season appearances. He went 29-10-3, with a 2.05 goals against average.

McIntyre is the fourth goalie in UND history to rack up 1,000-plus saves in a single season. He was drafted by the Boston Bruins in 2010 and was named the NCAA West Region's Most Outstanding Player, during this season's men's hockey championship tournament.

McIntyre was also nominated for the 2015 Hobey Baker Award, but the award was given to Boston University's Jack Eichel.
