Wentz Remains Undefeated at Home
The Eagles coming into today's game had not lost at home all season. That remains the case.
On the Eagles first offensive possession Wentz was 4 of 4 for 47 yards and the drive that lasted over seven minutes was capped off by a 4 yard touchdown run by Ryan Matthews. The Eagles struck first and led 7-0.
Following that, both offense had some flashes of brilliance but the two sides mostly traded field goals through the early part of the fourth quarter.
The Falcons down 13-9 early in the final quarter, had a 76 yard touchdown but missed the extra point. Atlanta went up 15-13.
Shortly after, the Eagles led a 76 yard drive capped off by a Ryan Matthews 5 yard touchdown run. A two point conversion put the Eagles up 21-13 with just under seven minutes to play in the game.
Philadelphia was able to pick up an additional field goal and with some solid defense, the Eagles picked up a 24-15 win.
Wentz finished the day 25 of 36 for 231 yards. He did not throw a touchdown or interception.
The Eagles improve to 5-4 and will play the Seahawks on the road next week.
