Expect strong gusty Southeast winds as a system moves through the area, according to The National Weather Service in Bismarck. This is the same system bring tornados and severe weather to the Midwest and South US. In detail, strong southeast winds ahead of a low pressure system will spread east across central North Dakota this morning through mid afternoon. Communities in the effected area include Jamestown, Bismarck-Mandan, Rugby, Minot and Ellendale.

According to the NWS, a wind advisory means that sustained winds of 30 to 40 mph, and or gusts under 58 mph, are expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. USE EXTRA CAUTION.
