The beautiful weather Saturday ( Sept 9th)  combined with the love for animals turnout to be a good combination for a 160 mile motorcycle ride today.

The 2nd Annual Ride for Rover to benefit the Central Dakota Humane Society was Saturday and the turnout was super! The Ride for Rover is not the biggest bike ride, but it is the best ride. The riders always make this ride the best. The riders are so much fun, good camaraderie and easy going always make the Ride for Rover very enjoyable.

Riders started to turn into the shelter early this morning, for the starting point. The ride went to New Salem, Glen Ullin, Elgin, Flasher and then made a stop for lunch at Rusty's Saloon and Grill in St. Anthony before returning to the shelter for prizes and of course, the riders had the opportunity to say hello to the dogs and cats in the shelter.

We had over 40 bikes and more riders, which made this ride easy to manage as it stretched over a mile in length through the country roads of Southern North Dakota. Thanks to the Ruff Ryders from Minnesota for serving as safety guards for the ride. (their second year keeping us safe)

Again, from all the pets in the shelter and from Townsquare Media and the Central Dakota Humane Society, THANK YOU!

We'll see you next year!
