WINNER: $3,000 Room Makeover with House of Color

CONGRATULATIONS TO NICOLE HARTL, THE GRAND PRIZE WINNER OF THE $3,000 ROOM MAKEOVER WITH US 103-3 AND HOUSE OF COLOR!

For weeks, you listened for a chance to become one of our 100 qualifiers for the $3,000 Room Makeover with House of Color. Now, we officially have a grand prize winner! Nicole Hartl successfully made it through all of the challenges to become the champion. So, what exactly did the grand prize competition entail?

Once we got all of the qualifiers signed in, white envelopes were handed to each qualifier. Anyone who had a colored paint swatch got to advance, while those with blank sheets of paper were disqualified. Next, the winners drew paintbrushes.

We went around with a box of paintbrushes. The qualifiers would each get one, but in order to move to the next round, the brushes had to have their bristles dipped in paint. Seven people got the paint-dipped brushes!

Then, the seven people were sent to the House of Color showroom to hunt for tiles featuring the Hot 97-5 and US 103-3 logos. Seven people got five minutes to locate four bricks - and they were all found before the clock ran out!

Finally, the last four standing were each given a key, and one of the keys would unlock a box, revealing the grand prize inside. Two qualifiers stepped up to the box, and both of their keys seemed to fit, but did not turn the lock! But when Nicole Hartl tried her key, the lock unlocked!

Nicole is the grand prize winner for the $3,000 Room Makeover, and the prize money will go towards working on her husband's man cave! Congratulations, Nicole and thank you to everyone who participated.
