SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — Authorities have discovered a meth lab located a half a block away from a Sioux Falls elementary school.

According to a press release, the Sioux Falls Area Drug Task Force executed a search warrant Thursday morning at a home near Garfield Elementary School. The release says the task force found a one-pot meth lab, methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

The Argus Leader reports the meth lab was seized and a 38-year-old man was arrested on several charges, including manufacturing methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and violation of a drug free zone.

A spokeswoman with the Sioux Falls School District says law enforcement officials worked with the school to ensure the search warrant was executed safely.
