BEULAH, N.D. (AP) — State and federal authorities are investigating the cause of an airplane crash in Beach that injured a Kenmare man.

The Highway Patrol says Thomas Mau lost control of his small plane while landing at the Beach airport on Friday. The plane left the runway and went through a field before hitting a hay bale and coming to rest.

Mau was taken to a Dickinson hospital with unspecified injuries.

The Highway Patrol and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating.
