Well, with another 90 degree plus weekend staring us in the face, you might as well make plans to be around some water.  Garrison, North Dakota is having their end of summer blowout (tomorrow) Saturday, August 21st known as "Beach Party" at Fort Stevenson State Park.  The event will take place from 5 pm to 11 pm.  Garrison is only 75 miles from Bismarck right north on US Highway 83.

Here's some of the activities and fun events happening at Garrison's Beach Party fun in the sun. From 5 pm to 9 pm enjoy new inflatables, games (including a boot camp challenge and a wrecking ball) and a 9 hole mini golf.  There will also be food, pop and concessions. Play some glow volleyball and there's also a beach party store.  Be sure to bring your lawn chairs and coolers are allowed, however no glass containers please.  There will be live music from To Old To Stand.  Dance the night away in the sand.  Admission is $10 dollars for K-Adult, pre-K and under is free.

So if you're looking for one last Summer blast for the family this could be it.  Beat the heat by being by the BIG lake!  Fort Stevenson State Park is located at 1252A 41st Ave NW Garrison, North Dakota.  Garrison by the way is such a beautiful community.  You could always go up early before it begins at 5pm and bring along a fishing rod.  The Walleyes have been biting on Lake Sakakawea.  You won't have to twist my arm to do that.
