How warm was it Friday? Let's put this in prospective, at 41 degrees, it was 70 degrees warmer than it was Monday. But winter returns this weekend as an arctic front will move through the area bringing wind, snow and falling temperatures with the possibility of wind chill values at minus 40 below. The National Weather Service in Bismarck has issued a WIND CHILL ADVISORY  from noon Saturday to noon Sunday.

This system will effect travel though out the state, with blowing snow and drifting.  Travelers are encouraged to check their winter survival kits in their vehicle.

Frostbite and hyperthermia are possible if precautions are not taken. Take special care if working outside, make sure all skin area is covered and take the necessary precautions with pets and animals.
