Bismarck Has A New Restaurant You'll Want To Check It Out!

When I used to live in Fargo, I got hooked on was Indian food.  I absolutely love spicy stuff...in moderation.  Unfortunately, there hasn't been an Indian restaurant in town(I actually have friends who drive to Fargo at least once a month for dinner)...until now.  The nice thing about Indian food is that there are a wide range of temperatures, depending on which delicacy and which pairing you choose.  One of the things I like most about Indian fare is the balance.  I admit, you don't just go eat at an Indian restaurant, there's a learning curve involved and if you're smart, a little bit of homework to learn the dish pairings can go a long way.

Now you will have the opportunity to learn Indian cuisine at the new "India Clay Oven Bar and Grill" on Main Street in downtown Bismarck.  If you remember Humpback Sally's, the India Clay Oven is in their former location, below the Speakeasy and The Luft.  They will be open 7 days a week with a (my new favorite) lunch buffet from 11-2:30 and dinner served nightly from 5-10 PM.  They will also have catering available for your events.

I had a chance to sample the buffet at their soft opening and it was out of this world.  I'm guessing that the lunch buffet will keep the heat toned down a bit for more delicate palates, but when ordering off of the menu, you will be able to choose from mild, medium or hot spices to give your favorite dishes a little kick.  Like I said, Indian cuisine takes some practice to learn the spice levels and pairing combinations, but you won't regret putting in the effort.
