19-year-old Daniel Hughes was stopped for a traffic violation but instead ended up fleeing from police Monday morning according to KFYR-TV.

Once the officers caught up with Hughes, he was ordered out of the car. At first he complied, then he struck an officer in the face.

The incident took place on South 26th Street.

Hughes was stuck three times with an electric immobilizing stun gun in order to get him into custody.

He is facing several charges including fleeing from a police officer, assault on a police officer and more charges are pending.

Hughes was taken first to the hospital then booked into jail.
