BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A North Dakota man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison on a child pornography charge.

Fifty-nine-year-old Steven Paul, of Bismarck, pleaded guilty in October to receipt of materials involving the sexual exploitation of minors.

Paul was previously convicted for possession of child pornography and was on probation with the state of North Dakota.

Authorities say Paul admitted in an interview with probation officers in 2012 that he used the Internet to download child pornography.

U.S. District Judge Daniel Hovland sentenced Paul to serve 15 years in federal prison, the mandatory minimum sentence, to be followed by 20 years of supervised release.
