The National Weather Service in Bismarck has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for a wintry mix of rain... sleet and some freezing rain Sunday afternoon and evening... and snow and some blowing snow Monday and Monday night... which is in effect until 6 am CST Tuesday. The Winter Storm Warning has been cancelled.
* Timing... Sunday through Monday night.
* Main impact... rain Sunday afternoon and evening will change to freezing rain and sleet late Sunday evening and to all snow Sunday night. Snowfall accumulations of 2 to 5 inches are expected. Travel will become hazardous Sunday through Monday night.
* Other impacts... areas of blowing snow will develop Monday and Monday night creating reduced visibilities.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
Snow... sleet... and freezing rain will make travel hazardous. The North Dakota Highway patrol advises... remain alert and do not use the cruise control in these winter driving conditions.
