BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A Bismarck woman says she sent nearly $9,000 to a company she thought was giving her a job.

Police Sgt. Mark Buschena tells the Bismarck Tribune the 50-year-old woman on Thursday reported she had posted her resume online and had been contacted about a job by "First National Transportation Network." She was asked to purchase four computers, for almost $6,000, and ship them to Kiev, Ukraine. Buschena says the woman was told she would be reimbursed, but she never received any money.

The woman says she also spent $3,000 on "training" from the company.

Buschena says "anytime someone is asking you to spend your own money up front and ship items to another country, it should raise all sorts of red flags."
