Depending on who you ask, the falling gas prices can be bad or good. For people like my family members and friends who were raking in the "big bucks" in Wild Western North Dakota, falling gas prices cause them to lose jobs and paychecks. On the flipside, I love seeing the low gas prices because it means I do not hold back tears whenever I fill up my car. And it is being projected that gas prices will continue to drop.

According to KFYR-TV, not only are the current gasoline prices the lowest they have been since June, and the prices will keep dropping because, you know, Coronavirus. According to the news report, gas was $2.55 this time last year AND we have not seen prices like the current ones since 2004 - I just paid $1.68 at Sam's Club last week! I know we are in the middle of a pandemic and supposed to stay put right now, but how are we supposed to be expected not to road trip everywhere when gas is so cheap? Gas prices have not been this cheap the whole time I have been a licensed driver. It costs me about $20 or less to fill my car these days, so it is like I HAVE to drive places, just because I can. And it is really not that hard to have a social distancing road trip.

Yes, there are negatives behind the fall in prices of gasoline - unemployed oil workers and COVID-19, but I am not going to lie, I love seeing gas prices like this. But I am torn on whether I should take serious advantage of these prices and do some major road tripping or just stay put.

Are you taking advantage of the falling gas prices and going on road trips more than usual?
