Car of Missing Bismarck Homicide Suspect Found
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Authorities in Dunn County have recovered a vehicle belonging to a man suspected in a Bismarck homicide.
Police say a Dunn County sheriff's deputy found the car abandoned shortly before dawn Monday. The search for 35-year-old suspect Kirk Kwasniewski was continuing.
Authorities suspect Kwasniewski of killing another man in a domestic dispute. A woman called police shortly after 1 a.m. Monday, saying a man was in her home threatening her with a gun. She found her 30-year-old boyfriend dead in the home.
The suspect fled and wasn't immediately apprehended. Police urged residents of the neighborhood to stay in their homes and lock their doors for a time while officers searched the immediate area.
