The Bismarck Tribune is reporting a Century High School teacher was subject to paid administrative leave pending the completion of an investigation on complaints from students.

Gregg Schmidt, a social studies teacher is accused of making inappropriate comments to students and for having items in his classroom that were not appropriate.

The incident took place in November, and was placed on paid leave until the investigation was complete. This investigation was completed last week and the opinion was made public,

Schmidt was accused of inappropriate comments, inappropriate touching of female students and for having women's shorts hanging from antlers in his class room, are just a few complaints from students to administrators.

Even while the investigation was on-going, there were many students coming to Schmidt's defense on social media.

The final investigation concluded  that Mr. Schmidt violated several policies including having a healthy teacher-to-student boundaries in  the classroom space and for unwelcomed touching of students and violating other code of ethics for educators in accordance to the State of North Dakota.

Mr.Schmidt has been a teacher in the school system since 1998.

It is unclear when or where he will be in the classroom again after he completes his training program.
