If you've seen the Century High School Girls Basketball team play this year, you know what kind of talent Lily Keplin possesses on the basketball court. KXMB Sports has named her 'Player of the Year'.

Keplin leads the conference in scoring with 21 points per game to go with 3.5 steals per game on defense.

You can often recognize her on the court, not only by her noticeable talents but also by her non-matching Adidas basketball shoes. Keplin told KXMB Sports the story behind her shoes:

My dad -- when it came time to get shoes and stuff, he ordered me two pairs. He was like why don't you just mismatch them. I was like, 'Alright, I guess that's what we are doing this year.'

Keplin has the ability to change the dynamic of a game with her playmaking abilities and teams throughout North Dakota are certainly aware.

When asked about who the best player in the state was, Keplin replied:

I know my place. I know my what my skills are and I know what my weaknesses are. I know that there are other players that are better than me in some aspects as well.

Century defeated Bismarck High earlier today (March 1st) to advance to the West Region Championship tomorrow night at 6 p.m. against Mandan, while also qualifying for the Class A Tournament. Century remains unbeaten entering tomorrow night's matchup against Mandan in the West Region title game.

Congrats to Century's Lily Keplin on being named KXMB Sports 'Player of the Year'!
