Colorado, The New Gold Rush, Acapulco GOLD ; New and Exciting Ventures Because of POT

We knew it was a matter of time! With the legalization of recreational pot in Colorado, people are coming up with all sorts of business ventures and heck why not?  A Salina, Kansas man is going to start to make 420 runs from Salina to Denver to buy pot.

According to the Kansas City Star Newspaper, Bart Allen will begin driving a 12-passenger Mercedes van for overnight trips to Denver, and he hopes to start the dope run this weekend. He will target customers for his new shuttle service, age 45 or older who want to learn whether the drug could help them ease medical conditions. (certainly, he's joking) The cost for the round trip is, you guessed it $420. Allen thinks the price will detour people who just want to take a trip. (no pun)

The tax on pot in Colorado for medical usage is available only to people with a medical marijuana card is 7 percent. According to the law, Kansans who buy marijuana without a med card will have to pay the 25 percent recreational tax rate.

Allan says  "each trip his passengers will tour at least one marijuana dispensary and grow site in Denver, and spend the night in Denver before returning on Sunday."

And I'm thinking a stop or two at the golden arches and maybe a fried chicken joint and plenty of water for dry mouth otherwise known as cottonmouth!
