Sad news from the sports television world as one of the original anchors from ESPN 2 died Sunday. After a long battle with cancer, Stuart Scott died at the age of 49.

The guy who made "Boo-Yah!" his catch phrase died after a lengthy battle with cancer. Scott was 49.

ESPN President John Skipper said this about Scott-

"ESPN and everyone in the sports world have lost a true friend and a uniquely inspirational figure in Stuart Scott,"

Scott joined ESPN in 1993 for the launch of ESPN2, his personality and quick wit helped him to moving up the ranks as one of the network's main anchors. Many loved him, then again, many disliked his style and delivery. Scott was never at a loss of words.

Scott is survived by his two daughters, Taelor, 19,and Sydni, 14.
