MEDORA, N.D. (AP) — People spending Martin Luther King Jr. Day visiting Theodore Roosevelt National Park in western North Dakota don't have to pay entrance or camping fees.

The holiday is one of 16 days this year during which the National Park Service will waive entrance fees at parks.

Theodore Roosevelt National Park Interpretation Chief Eileen Andes says winter is a good time to visit the park. She says it's quiet and there are good opportunities for wildlife watching and photography.
