Film Idol Omar Sharif Dead at 83

CAIRO (AP) — Omar Sharif has died. His agent says the Egyptian-born actor died of a heart attack in a Cairo hospital. He was 83, and had been suffering from Alzheimer's. Sharif is best known for his roles in the movie epics "Lawrence of Arabia" and "Doctor Zhivago."
