It's week two of First Responder Recognition, and this week, we are featuring another firefighter. Meet Jeff M., a military veteran and Bismarck Battalion Chief. The person who nominated Jeff states that he is "by all definitions, a hometown hero."

Jeff M. has been nothing short of an American patriot his entire life. Jeff was an Eagle Boy Scout, he is a military veteran, and he's a Battalion Chief on the Bismarck Fire Department. While Jeff was in the Air Force, he served his country with distinction.

After his military career, the Veteran returned to Bismarck, where he made leaps and bounds in his firefighting career. He worked up the ranks into a Fire Officer's role of Fire Captain. Jeff's hard work and dedication to his community lead to him being promoted to the prestigious role of Battalion Chief.

You can nominate a hometown hero to be featured next week on First Responder Recognition. On May 1, one of our nominees will win a $100 restaurant gift card from Bismarck Heating & Air, as well as $100 to Peacock Alley and 40 Steak & Seafood.
