Heavy Rainfall Saturday Resulted in Road Closures and Big Totals [PHOTOS]

The National Weather Service in Bismarck has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Burleigh Country until 8 PM CST today.

The rain moving over the area is part of a slow moving system. Due to the slow movement of the system, areas receiving rain may receive heavy amounts of rain in a short period of time, combined with the 2-3 inches of rain from over night, this system could produce very dangerous travel conditions and flooding.

According to the ND Homeland Security, water covered highways in Dunn County have officials closing some roads- according to the NDHS-

A TRAVEL ALERT HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THE DUNN COUNTY AREA DUE TO HEAVY RAINS.

NUMEROUS REPORTS OF FLOODING HAVE BEEN RECEIVED. TIRE DEPRESSIONS IN STATE HWY

22 AND OTHER HARD SURFACE ROADWAYS ARE FILLING WITH WATER CAUSING VEHICLES TO

HYDRO-PLANE.

THE SOUTHHEART ROAD IN SOUTHERN DUNN COUNTY HAS BEEN CLOSED DUE TO WATER OVER

THE ROADWAY.
