Freezing drizzle and rain are making for slow moving traffic in Western North Dakota tonight and this system is moving east and will start effect the Bismarck-Mandan area tonight and over night. The FREEZING RAIN ADVISORY has been extended through mid-morning Monday. (12/15)

The National Weather Service has issued a Freezing Rain Advisory for the area and has extended the advisory until 12 Noon Monday. (12/15)

Reports from station personnel driving to Bismarck from the west is very slow moving traffic, at a crawl in some areas on I94.  The reports included trucks jacked knifed and cars in the ditch. The Medora area had freezing temperatures all day with freezing drizzle. The freezing drizzle will change into snow for the entire area tonight.

Ice accumulations will be less than a tenth of an inch.

This system will bring cold and windy weather for Monday and continued cold temperatures all next week.
