Garrison Man Who Missed Sentencing Arrested

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A Garrison man who left North Dakota before he could be sentenced for raping a girl under the age of 15 has been captured.

The McLean County Sheriff's Department tells KXMB-TV 32-year-old Patrick Moore has been arrested in Arizona's Maricopa County on drug charges.

Moore pleaded guilty in North Dakota in July 2014 to felony gross sexual imposition charges that could carry a sentence of life in prison without parole. He was to be sentenced Dec. 16 but missed the hearing. A warrant for his arrest was issued Dec. 22.
