Dan + Shay fans will find a million reasons to love the country duo's new cover of Lady Gaga's song "Million Reasons." Readers can press play below to listen.

According to a press release, Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney decided to record Gaga's song after their single "Tequila" racked up 100 million streams on Spotify; the duo performed the tune, as well as "Tequila," for a Spotify-exclusive release. For their take on "Million Reasons," Smyers and Mooney rely on a balance of delicate vocals and powerful harmonies, putting together a passionate, personal take on the track.

In addition to Dan + Shay's cover, "Million Reasons" has another connection to the country music scene: The song was co-written by Nashville tunesmith Hillary Lindsey. In 2016, Lady Gaga invited Lindsey onstage during her Dive Bar Tour stop in Nashville, and the pair performed the then-new tune together.

"We sat on a couch together, and we were going back and forth, guitar and piano," Gaga recalled that night, "and we were going, 'Why these men, you know?' All these men -- my dad, my boyfriend, all the men in my life -- they gave me a million reasons [to leave], but I just need one good one to stick around ..."

Dan + Shay's version of "Million Reason" is available on Spotify. The song was recorded at Sound Stage Studios in Nashville.
