"On the 12th day of December, my true love gave to me, a brand new pair of Nikes" A SLIGHT change to the classic 12 Days Of Christmas song - but it definitely comes into play this Saturday when the seventh annual Santa Run takes place on the state Capital grounds at 10:00 am. This year's gathering, of course, will be different, per COVID-19 - There won't be thousands of runners pouring out onto the streets of Bismarck, instead, there WILL be so many people supporting this through virtual ways - you can send in your time, go out and run/walk YOUR favorite daily route - the theme hasn't changed one-bit Bismarcktribune.com reports that Santa Run is a nonprofit organization and its annual race draws St. Nick-costumed participants. Organizers partnered with the Bismarck Larks to promote the virtual event, through which runners can participate until Dec. 22.

The weather should be in the mid-'30s, no snow, social distancing, and the COVID-19 protocols will all take place. This event is a fundraiser for  - This is a wonderful group of people formed by South Central District Judge David Reich to help support one another recovering from substance abuse. They generally meet three times a week providing a healthy outlet for physical and mental activity. The most dangerous element in an addict or alcoholic is idle time - isolating yourself from everyone else and surrendering to their disease.

US 103.3's B-Fish will be on-site providing music and holiday cheer:) For more on this story click here. Registration for the events can be completed at bismarcksantarun.com.
