Folks were running, walking and taking the dog out. Did you hear the rumble of the motorcycles all over the capital city Saturday and Sunday? And that chirping noise, it's the song of birds singing in the trees, also rejoicing in the sun and warmer days.

After weeks of below average temperatures in North Dakota, this past weekend was mild with highs in the upper 50's and many places reached 60 degrees.

Here, afternoon personality Shannon Dean snapped this picture from shore of the Little Missouri River in Medora as the melt continues.

Temperature's will remain mild this week, with 50's and some 60's for daytime highs and only a slight chance of rain or snow. The warmest day at this point seems to be Wednesday with windy conditions and daytime high of 63 degrees in Bismarck-Mandan.
