The National Weather Service continues to enforce a HIGH WIND WARNING in effect for a majority of the state.

According to several sources, wind gusts were strong on Sunday,(10/11) giving fire fighters a headache in several areas of the state including Cannonball, Sterling, Fargo and Jamestown. These areas all experienced some level of grass fires. Here are the recorded wind gusts from Sunday.

  • Bismarck 48 MPH
  • Williston 41 MPH
  • Minot 63 MPH
  • Garrison  51 MPH
  • Jamestown  51 MPH
  • Fargo  41 MPH
  • Devil's Lake  41 MPH

Strong winds will continue Monday and will start to subside late Monday evening. Here are the anticipated wind gusts for Monday according to the NWS.
