According to a press release from the Mandan Progress Organization, all of the events you've come to know and love over the 4th of July are on as scheduled this year in Mandan.

After a year off, the Mandan Progress Organization is anticipating record turnouts for their traditional 4th of July events.  In fact, registration is now open for the Parade, the Rodeo is preparing for ticket sales and Art in the Park space spots will be available to sign up for soon.

"We're excited to get back to business as usual," said Layn Mudder, president of the Mandan Progress Organization Board of Directors.  Committees are working as we speak preparing for the summer event season.

Mandan has certainly developed a reputation as the place to be over the Independence Day holiday.  Not only are you able to blow things up legally, there's so much to do for the whole family.

Did you know that the city of Mandan has played host to a 4th of July Parade and Professional Rodeo for over 140 years?  Plus, Mandan has also been home to the Art in the Park Festival for more than 40 years.

Businesses and organizations are encouraged to participate in the Parade that makes its way down the length of Main Street in Mandan. The 2021 Parade theme is “Saluting Those Who Serve,” which has taken on new meaning post-COVID.  Prior to the pandemic, the theme was in support of our armed services. Now, the definition of those who service includes first responders, healthcare workers, frontline workers and more. In addition to the Parade, Mandan is home to a PRCA Rodeo July 2-4 and the Art in the Park Festival on July 3-4.
