Joan Rivers in Critical Condition
Reports out of New York are that Joan Rivers was rushed to the hospital in critical condition Thursday morning.
UPDATE: E! News Reporter Ken Baker tweeted that Rivers is now in stable condition.
According to FOX 411 in New York (1:30 PM CST)
"Joan Rivers was admitted to Mount Sinai hospital in New York Thursday morning, a spokesperson for the hospital said in a statement. A source with knowledge of the situation told FOX411 the comedian was in critical condition when she was taken to the hospital.
Police would not confirm Rivers' identity, but told FOX411:
"An 81-year-old female was transported Mount Sinai in critical condition... at 9:39 a.m."
The New York Fire Department told FOX411 the person transported was in cardiac arrest.
TMZ reports Rivers stopped breathing during a throat procedure at a clinic, and someone at the clinic called 911.
