According to BismarckND.gov, North Dakotans will recieve ballots by mail for the June 2020 election. The news broke about the mail voting on April 23, 2020 and will be mailed out in all 53 counties in North Dakota. Governor Doug Burgum signed Executive Order 2020-13 on March 26, 2020 strongly encouraging counties in the state to vote by mail for the June 2020 election.

The Reservations worked with Tribal Governments in their county to get vote by mail. There will be no physical polling locations due to the Covid-19 pandemic. All eligible voters will recieve their applications in the mail from the North Dakota Secretary of State’s Office. If you don't receive your ballet by May 11, 2020 contact your county auditor. Voters can return their ballot by mail and need to have the ballot returned by mail by June 8, 2020 or to a secure ballot drop box on June 9, 2020 by 4 P.M. The reason for ballots by mail is to help slow the spread of Covid-19 in North Dakota. For more information you can click here.
