Kacey Musgraves went big for her 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards performance: Not only did she enlist the help of Coldplay's Chris Martin, she sang while seated atop a giant, light-up rainbow prop.

Readers can press play above to watch Musgraves and Martin's "Rainbow" performance. The Coldplay frontman accompanied Musgraves on piano, leaving the vocal duties entirely to the country star, who originally released the song on her third studio album, Golden Hour. Musgraves kept the performance simple, singing sweetly in a bight yellow, one-shouldered dress -- because really, when you're sitting on a rainbow, there's not much else you need to do to elevate the performance.

Musgraves and Martin's "Rainbow" performance came early in the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards ceremony, which took place on Thursday night (March 14) in Los Angeles, Calif. The two-hour event aired live on Fox from the Microsoft Theater. Musgraves and 2018 tour boss Harry Styles were awarded Best Cover Song, a socially voted award, for their live rendition of Shania Twain's "You're Still the One."

Musgraves' 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards win is the most recent in a string of honors for the star: She cleaned up at the 2019 Grammy Awards, even winning the all-genre Album of the Year category, and received Album of the Year at the 2018 CMA Awards. She's also nominated multiple times at the 2019 ACM Awards, which will take place in April.
