Townsquare Media invites you to Light it Up Blue for World Autism Awareness Day on Sunday, April 2nd at Shiloh Christian School.

There is no known cause of Autism which is why awareness is so important. Come support World Autism Awareness Day at this free event on Sunday, April 2nd from 2 to 5 p.m. at Shiloh Christian School.

Activities include:

  • Bismarck Police

According the Autism Society, Autism (ASD) is a developmental disability. It affects a person’s ability to communicate or interact with others. In 2014, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that Autism numbers have risen to 1 in every 68 births in the United States.

Certain behaviors of Autism include:

  • Delayed learning of language
  • Difficulty making eye contact
  • Holding a conversation
  • Difficulty with executive functioning
  • Narrow, intense interest
