As a matter of fact, according to Tech Insider.com, many hotels are already booked for maximum viewing of the eclipse on August 21, 2017.

According to experts, this will be an event you will not want to miss. North Dakota and Bismarck are on the fringe of the coverage. For maximum viewing, the following cities will receive 100% coverage (total darkness during the day)

  • Seattle
  • Boise
  • Casper
  • Omaha
  • Kansas City
  • St. Louis
  • Nashville
  • Atlanta
  • Charleston

Even at the best locations,they will receive 100% coverage for only 2.5 minutes. Hotels in the areas are already booked solid from eclipse chasers.

The next total eclipse for America will be in April of 2024.
