BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Authorities say a person looking for a dog caused a pileup on an Interstate 94 bridge between Bismarck and Mandan.

Six vehicles were involved in the Thursday evening incident on the Grant Marsh Bridge over the Missouri River. Highway Patrol Trooper Jeremiah Bohn tells KXMB-TV there were no serious injuries.

Bohn says a driver stopped on the bridge to look for a dog, causing a four-car chain-reaction crash in the westbound lanes and a crash in the eastbound lanes. Traffic was backed up for about an hour before the scene could be cleared.
