MANDAN, N.D. (AP) — Mandan police say 3 pounds of methamphetamine was seized during a traffic stop in the city.

The Bismarck Tribune reports officers also confiscated a rifle, two handguns cash, drug paraphernalia and silver coins during the traffic stop on Wednesday.

The driver and passenger were arrested and were being held in the Morton County jail.

Lt. Pat Haug says it was the largest bust by Mandan patrol officers that he remembers. Police say the meth has a street value of about $250,000.
