MANDAN, N.D. (AP) — A Mandan teacher accused of having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student has reached a plea agreement with prosecutors.

Thirty-five-year-old Amanda Kolosky was to appear in court Tuesday on a felony charge of corrupting a minor, but the hearing was canceled after her attorney notified the court that she intends to plead guilty in the case.

Kolosky could face up to five years in prison. Her next court appearance has not been scheduled.

Kolosky is a special education teacher at Mandan High School. Authorities allege she had sex with a male student.

The school district put Kolosky on administrative leave in May. The school board this week suspended her without pay and will decide later whether to fire her.
