This week on Critter Corner, we feature Barley! He is a big fluffy black and white cat!

The unique thing about Barley is, he is a special needs cat. Barley has FIV Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. This condition is not contagious to humans, but can be passed on to other cats through deep claw scratches or bites. This virus is slow-acting, and Barley's immune system is weaken.  This makes Barley susceptible to viruses and Barley will need more time to recover from viruses. Barley should be an indoor cat and needs special attention.

You can see that Barley is lovable and needs a real special loving owner and home! Barley is a neutered male Short Hair (DSH) Black and White with an approximate birth date of December 2011. He came to CDHS as a stray. If you'd like more information on Barley and other animals looking to be adopted, click for the full gallery from the Central Dakota Humane Society.
