Meet the 2017 Bismarck-Mandan ‘Salute To Service’ Winners

US 1033 wants to thank you for all your submissions for the 2017 'Salute to Service' contest. 

We have all the respect in the world for those who serve or have served our amazing country. We are excited to announce that the winners of $100 Applebee's gift cards are Josh Churchill and Mark Thueson.

Here's a little about Josh:

Josh was in the 957 MRBC unit. He was deployed to Iraq from 2003-2004. He joined after 9/11 and was deployed after boot camp at Ft. Leonard Wood. We thank God for his safe return home. We are very proud of him! He loves our country and was proud to serve! God bless him and all of our Military and Veterans.

Mark:

Officer Thueson is not only a good police officer, but also a good friend and overall good person. We met back when we were both donating blood at Battle of the Badges. I have no idea of his dream of actually wearing the badge at that time. He has always been encouraging of my goals and a super supportive friend. From Relay for Life to Battle of the Badges I can count on seeing him there. He now works for Lincoln PD and stays involved in the community both in and outside of work activities. The attached photo is him teaching Cub Scouts in Lincoln.
