The Minnesota Vikings have won two games in a row after routing the Motor City Kitties yesterday in Minneapolis by a score of 34-20.  What may be more important, the Vikings have now won two division games in a row, after a very unlikely win in Green Bay the previous week.  The Vikings will play yet another division foe this coming Monday Night, when they visit the Chicago Bears.

Dalvin Cook showed why he's one of the best running backs in the game again yesterday.  Cook rushed for 206 yards, which is a career high, and two touchdowns on 22 carries and caught two passes for 46 yards, setting a personal best for scrimmage yards with 252. That beats Cook's previous career high (226 yards) last week in a win over Green Bay.  This was all being done while former Minnesota rushing immortality, Adrian Peterson was watching from the other sideline.  Dalvin now leads the NFL in rushing.  He also leads the NFL in rushing touchdowns with 10.

The Minnesota Vikings have now got themselves within striking distance of the final NFL playoff spot.  This is hard to believe, when just two weeks ago, this team was 1-5 and just suffered an embarrassing home loss to the lowly Atlanta Falcons.  Now, the Vikes are 3-5 with a critical game against Chicago.  If Minnesota can somehow find a way to win on Monday night, they would be 3-1 in the division, which could go a long ways in the tie breaker scenarios at the end of the year.  However, keep in mind Kirk Cousins has NEVER won a Monday night game before.  We'll see what happens, but at least the Vikings are somewhat relevant again.
