BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A North Dakota man has been sentenced to more than four years in prison on an illegal weapons charge.

Thirty-eight-year-old Jerome Fletcher, of Minot, pleaded guilty earlier to possession of ammunition by a convicted felon.

Authorities say Fletcher had 11 rounds of 9mm ammunition in his possession in November 2013.

Fletcher has an extensive criminal record that includes convictions for robbery, assault and possession of methamphetamine.

U.S. District Judge Daniel Hovland sentenced Fletcher to four years and three months in federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release.
