Know a student whose volunteer work is worthy of national recognition? Now is the time to nominate that student.

Nominations are now open for the Prudential Spirit Community Awards and the nomination period will remain open through Nov. 7.

Anyone in grades five through 12 are eligible to enter. Winners receive $1,000, silver medallions, and an all-expense paid four day trip to Washington D.C. to be recognized nationally.

A Fargo and Minot student were last year's top youth volunteers in North Dakota and the two students got the chance to meet Michael Phelps.
