BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Democratic state Rep. Scot Kelsh has been sentenced to a year of unsupervised probation in a drunken driving case.

A state Highway Patrol trooper stopped the Fargo lawmaker on Nov. 18.

Kelsh was sentenced on Monday in East Central District Court.

The 51-year-old lawmaker has represented District 11 in the Legislature since 1996 and was among those who passed more stringent DUI laws in the last legislative session.
