According to KFYR-TV,  No fans will be allowed at the Bison home opener in Eugene, Oregon. The Governor of Oregon, Kate Brown, says large sporting events and big gatherings won't be able to return to the state through September 2020. The NDSU Bison game opener is scheduled for September 5, 2020. Are the Oregon Ducks scared of the herd? Many North Dakota state fans were excited to attend this game and some fans have been waiting for years for this game. For more information click here.

Many fans including myself are upset about the news that no fans can attend the game. I was planning to make the trip to Eugene, Oregon to the Autzen Stadium. Many would like to see Trey Lance, NDSU's quarterback, play against the Oregon Ducks. Trey Lance hasn't thrown an interception in his first year as the starter quarterback for NDSU.

NDSU is currently on a 37 game winning streak and is ten games away from tying the Oklahoma Sooners 47 game winning streak from 1953-1957. It will be an interesting year and a barn burner for sure to watch NDSU and the Oregon Ducks play. NDSU's last game was in Frisco, Texas where they played James Madison University on January 11, 2020. NDSU won by a final score of 28-20.

The last FBS team NDSU played was the Iowa Hawkeyes on September 17, 2016 and NDSU won by a final score of 23-21 according to Sports Illustrated. I had a couple of friends go to this game and it was a real barn burner, it was a very close game. I personally would've loved to attend that game and I was really looking forward to the NDSU-Ducks game, but we'll have to watch it on the TV.
