Two weeks ago, there was a bill proposed that would cut funding for 11 North Dakota colleges and universities if North Dakota State University would not sever ties with Planned Parenthood. Of course, the threat of income lost would be enough pressure for some to give in to the pressure. But NDSU President Dean Bresciani will not back down to threats against proper sexual education.

According to the Bismarck Tribune, President Bresciani told the AP News"It's a matter of academic freedom." It is bold of President Bresciani to hold such a stance, because if the bill passes, North Dakota State University will stand to lose $2.8 million. Get the latest update from the Bismarck Tribune

It is interesting that the anti-Planned Parenthooders in this case are so concerned about the "promotion" of abortion. I have never seen abortion promoted. What I have seen with abortion clinics are options for women to choose how they live their lives. But, in any case, Planned Parenthood's involvement in the North Dakota State University system has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS ABORTION CONSPIRACY.

Rather than promoting abortions, the education offered by Planned Parenthood through North Dakota State University promotes sexual safety. Classes are meant to teach everyone, from students to parents, about the importance of sexual safety. Think about it - the more educated a person is about sex, the less likely it is for that person to risk having to abort an unwanted pregnancy.

How do you feel about the President of North Dakota State University's stance on the school working with Planned Parenthood for sex education?
