CARRINGTON, N.D. (AP) — Authorities say a pilot suffered only minor injuries in the crash of a crop dusting plane at the Carrington airport.

The Carrington Fire Department says the plane used to spray chemicals on crops had damaged landing gear and crashed while trying to land on the runway late Tuesday.

The pilot was taken to a local hospital to be checked out.

Federal officials will be investigating the crash.
